Holidazzle Kicks Off 20th Season In Downtown Mpls.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Target Holidazzle kicks off its 20th season of parades through downtown Minneapolis Friday night.
The nightly parades feature illuminated floats and familiar fairytale characters on Nicollet Mall between 12th and 4th Streets.
Bullseye, the Target bull terrier mascot, is grand marshal of this season's first Holidazzle parade.
To celebrate the parades' 20th season, the Target Holidazzle Gingerbread House will be in Peavey Plaza from 4-8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The parades run Thursdays through Sundays, starting at 6:30 p.m. each evening. The season's final parade is Sunday, Dec. 18.
The Northstar commuter rail line is offering free rides to Holidazzle parades after 3 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 17. Metro Transit buses and light-rail will be free from 4-8 p.m. on those days as well.
