Highway 65 Reopened Following Flash Floods
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Some highway sections in northern Minnesota closed due to flash flooding are open again after repairs were made.
State transportation crews made extensive repairs to Highway 65 between Nashwaulk and Togo in Itasca County and Highway 1 between Highway 73 and Highway 65. MnDOT engineer Duane Hill says crews worked around the clock to get the damage caused by Monday flooding repaired.
KDLH-TV says about 200 truckloads of fill was required to repair the washed-out culvert on Highway 1.
