High Winds Lead To Power Outages For 8,000 Xcel Customers
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - High winds in the Twin Cities are responsible for as many as 8,000 Xcel customers losing their power.
The outages started in the late afternoon and persisted into the evening.
Around 6 p.m., about 6,000 customers were without power in the metro area.
Crews are out working on restoring power around the cities.
