High-Speed Chase Ends In Crash
INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police are investigating a high-speed chase that ended in a crash in the southern Twin Cities metro area overnight.
According to authorities, the chase began in St. Paul, continued into South St. Paul, Inver Grove Heights and Eagan. Speeds were said to have exceeded 100 mph.
At about 1:30 a.m., the chase ended at Highway 13 and Lone Oak Road in Eagan when the driver jumped the vehicle over the snowbank and crash-landed about 50 feet off the road, authorities said.
Police haven't identified the driver or reported on the driver's condition. It is not yet clear what started the chase.
