Heightened Alert At MSP Airport After LAX Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Passengers at Minneapolis St Paul International airport won't notice any obvious changes in security in the aftermath of the Los Angeles airport shooting.
Spokesman Pat Hogan says sadly they are increasing vigilance.
"We're not taking anything for granted," he said.
Hogan said shootings can happen anywhere, and "that's one of the dangers that we live with," but that airport workers do what they can to reduce risk.
"This is one of those examples where, you can have the best security apparatus in the country, and you can still have something go wrong," he said.
Hogan said there have been no delays from Minneapolis to LAX, but if you're expecting someone, be aware of potential change before you head out to the airport.
