More Than $100M Released To Help Seniors, Families Keep Warm
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – U.S. Sens. Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar announced Thursday that more than $100 million in heat assistance has been released to help seniors and families in Minnesota.
In a press release, the senators said the money comes from the Obama administration through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The program helps seniors and families keep their homes heated during frigid Minnesota winter. And if forecasts are right, this winter looks to be colder than average.
