MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Thursday will give residents a chance to weigh in on a proposed high-speed passenger rail line between Minneapolis and Duluth.
The proposed Northern Lights Express would travel over 100 miles per hour, making the trip between Minneapolis and the North Shore in less than 2 hours. The line would run mostly on existing track.
Overall, the project is estimated to cost $700 million.
A public hearing on the line will be held Thursday night at 6 p.m. the Armed Forces Reserve Community Center in Cambridge.
