Hastings Police Look For Suspects In Pool Vandalism
HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police in Hastings are offering a reward for information on who vandalized the city's aquatic center.
According to police, the vandalism happened sometime between late night Oct. 5 and early morning Oct. 6 at the Hastings Aquatic Center.
Extensive damage was done to the pool equipment and poolside building, according to police.
Hastings Police are investigating whether this vandalism was connected to a recent break-in at Pinecrest Elementary School where the suspect(s) entered the school by breaking a window and taking two fire extinguishers that were later found.
"These crimes victimize the entire community; and we are committed to finding those responsible so they can be held accountable for their actions, including payment of restitution," said Hastings Police Chief Paul Schnell.

Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
