Hastings Man Charged With Robbery At Knife-Point
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hastings man arrested for allegedly robbing a gas station at knife-point before fleeing on a "light colored kids bike" was charged with felony first-degree aggravated robbery.
According to the charges, Joseph Robert Olson, 27, robbed the gas station on Vermillion Street at 5:08 a.m. on May 22 while wielding a four-inch knife. Surveillance video helped police identify Olson.
When officers spoke with Olson's girlfriend, Jacquelyn Irene Keehn, she said she awoke on the morning of May 22 with Olson showing her a bag of money. She estimated it was about $500.
Keehn said Olson then spent the money at Wal-Mart, a liquor store and a pizza place.
