Halloween's 'Valley Scare' Scare Takes Over Valleyfair
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Fall is here and so is the season for spooky, scary things. Halloween has taken over Valleyfair in Shakopee.
WCCO went behind the scenes of Valley Scare Halloween Haunt, which will be going on every weekend from now through Oct. 27. The events include scary rides and spooky attractions, zombie sightings and plenty of things to leave you watching your back.
One of the new attractions this year at Valley Scare is a Zombie Maze, where visitors will go through and try to avoid waking dead. Everything at Valleyfair during the Valley Scare takes on a Halloween theme, and workers there say it's not for kids under 13 years old.
Valley Scare features up to seven different mazes, 15 rides and three scare zones. There are also three scary shows full of thrills, including Mick Mangler's Madness & Mayhem Show.
Valley Scare does have events that are a little more fun and friendly for the younger kids. Those include Planet Spooky and Trick or Treating with the Dinos, a new dinosaur attraction.
