H.S. Senior Dies After Crashing Into School Bus
BYRON, Minn. (WCCO) -- A high school senior from the Rochester, Minn. area has died after rear-ending a school bus Tuesday afternoon.
According to Byron Schools Superintendent Jeff Elstad, friends identified the victim in the crash as Deianerah Logan, better known to her friends as Deejay.
Authorities said she rear-ended a Byron school bus with two students aboard on Olmsted County Road 5 near Oxbow Park at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
One of the students aboard the bus was from the high school and the other was from the middle school. Neither of the students aboard were injured in the crash, Elstad said.

Logan, who was driving a minivan, was airlifted to a Rochester hospital, but was later pronounced dead, according to Elstad.
Tuesday was her first day back at school as a senior. She has three other siblings at Byron area schools.
"This came as hard news. We're doing all we can right now to support the family and our staff and students," said Elstad.
There are grief counselors at all three of the district's schools, Elstad said.
