Guilty Plea In Vulnerable Adult Sex Assault On Bus
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman with Down syndrome while on a bus in St. Paul.
Herbert Lee House III of St. Paul pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to the complaint, House sat next to the victim on the bus on Feb. 22 and got her to perform a sex act on him. Prosecutors say he then tried to get the woman to leave the bus with him, but a care attendant for the woman got her to remain on the bus.
Metro Transit Police used security camera video from the bus to find and arrest House two days later.
Sentencing is set for May 18 in Ramsey County Court.
