Ground Stop Ordered At MSP Due To Weather
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The storm system over the Twin Cities is having an effect on air travel Thursday morning, and could throughout the day.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered a ground stop at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Airport spokesperson Pat Hogan says planes are not being allowed to take off from other airports en route to MSP until the severe weather passes.
"Those planes will be a little late getting here, and likewise they will be late turning around again and going back out," said Hogan. "So this could have repercussions that last throughout the day."
A good piece of advice if you are planning to fly out of MSP or are expecting guests to fly in is to call ahead to the airline and check on the adjusted flight schedules.
