Grass Fire Forces Temporary Shutdown Of I-94 In ND
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A grass fire in southwest North Dakota caused a scare when it jumped Interstate 94.
Authorities closed the highway near Dickinson for about half an hour late Wednesday afternoon and redirected traffic. They also asked residents of about 50 homes to temporarily leave as a precaution.
No buildings burned and no injuries were reported in the blaze that scorched about half a square mile. Authorities did not immediately determine the cause of the fire.
