Grandma's Marathon Deadline Extended
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Organizers of Grandma's Marathon have extended registration for this year's race by an extra week.
The extension gives runners through Friday, June 7, to join the field for Grandma's 37th running.
Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma's Marathon, says with this year's race falling a week later than usual, officials wanted to give runners extra time to enter.
This year's Two Harbors-to-Duluth race will be held June 22. The last time Grandma's Marathon occurred on a date later than this year was in 1990, when it was held June 23.
Runners can register online at www.GrandmasMarathon.com. So far more than 7,100 runners have signed up.
