Grand Rapids Woman Dies In Northern Minn. ATV Accident
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 36-year-old Grand Rapids woman died Monday in an ATV accident in northern Minnesota, authorities say.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office says it responded to the accident, which happened on County Road 39 just north of Birchmont Beach Road in Moose Lake Township, shortly before 10 a.m.
First responders pronounced Heather Michelle Garneau dead at the scene after lifesaving efforts proved unsuccessful. She was the only one on the ATV, and no other people appear to be involved in the crash.
Moose Lake Township is about 22 miles east of Bemidji.
