Grand Meadow Beats Underwood In 9-Man Title Game
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Trenton Bleifus ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, and Grand Meadow won its first state football title by beating Underwood 28-6 in the 9-Man Championship at the Prep Bowl.
Landon Jacobson rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown in Friday's game for the Grand Meadow Superlarks (13-1), who lost to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley in last year's championship.
LeRoy Hauge caught a 32-yard pass from Adam Creek late in the game for Underwood (10-4).
Bleifus, who ran for 83 yards and threw for 111, scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter and connected with Blake Olson for a 36-yard score just before halftime.
Jacobson scored on a 2-yard run early in the third quarter and Bleifus scrambled 33 yards early in the fourth quarter for a 28-0 advantage.
