Minnesota Lawmakers Offer Condolences After Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Gov. Mark Dayton is among those offering condolences in the wake of the fatal workplace shooting in Minneapolis.
Dayton issued a statement in which he said there was no place for the senseless violence anywhere in Minnesota.
U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison recently visited the company where the shooting took place, Accent Signage Systems. Ellison says the company is a model for export practices in Minneapolis. Ellison is calling for the metropolitan community to come together "in mourning and solidarity."
U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar also issued a statement in which she offered prayers for the victims and their families and loved ones impacted by the shooting.
Police say a gunman killed four people and injured four others before taking his own life at the business Thursday afternoon.
