GOP Hopefuls Make Their Final Stands In Minn.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Republican presidential hopefuls Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum made their final stands in Minnesota Monday -- the eve of the state's caucuses.
Mitt Romney, the GOP contest's current front-runner, was the only one absent. While his competition scrambled to make a statement, Romney focused on Colorado, which also holds its caucuses Tuesday.
Meanwhile in Minnesota, the campaigns of Paul and Santorum were the most noticeable, as both made various stops about the state over the weekend. On Monday, Paul held rallies in St. Cloud and Minneapolis, and Santorum spoke in Rochester before flying off to Colorado.
Gingrich rallied hundreds of his supporters Monday night in the ballroom of a hotel near the Mall of America.
Both Santorum and Paul will be in Minnesota Tuesday.
