MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt is set to speak at the University of Minnesota on the future of the high-technology economy.
The university says Schmidt will give a speech Wednesday morning at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs in which he'll predict how technology will change how people will work, learn and govern.

After spending a decade as Google's CEO, Schmidt was replaced by Google co-founder Larry Page in April. Schmidt remains Google's chief liaison with the government.
Admission is by invitation only, but at 10 a.m. it will be broadcast on the web at: www.livestream.com/umntv.
