Goodell 'Following Up' On Favre Investigation
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says he's still "following up" on some of the information in the Brett Favre investigation to make sure it's thorough and reaches "the right conclusion."
Goodell was in Minnesota for Monday's Bears-Vikings game at TCF Bank Stadium, expressing confidence in the safety of the cold turf.
The commissioner declined to specify a timetable for his decision about Favre, who allegedly sent inappropriate messages and lewd photos to former New York Jets game emcee Jenn Sterger two years ago when they were both with the team.
The allegations against the 41-year-old quarterback surfaced months ago on the website Deadspin.
Goodell also says he'll "play whatever role" he can to help the Vikings get a new stadium.
