Golfers (Try To) Cope With Spring Snow
EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) -- April snow is pushing the start of the golf season back and with The Masters going on in Augusta, Ga., many Minnesotans are itching to play.
Some people are scratching that itch at Totally Driven's new Edina facility.
"It's very frustrating for golfers right now, everybody is frustrated that they can't go outside and play," said Andy Thompson, President of Totally Driven. "A few courses were open last weekend and it wetted their whistles a little bit more."
Thompson says seeing all the new snow is making this even more frustrating for his clients, but not for his business.
"We've had a great winter," Thompson said. "Since January we're up significantly from last year. There's been a pretty big buzz and a lot of excitement with the new store."

Golfers (Try To) Cope with Spring Snow
Totally Driven has been in business for more than eight years offering coaching and lessons at its Oakdale location. But now, a new 11,000 square-foot facility in Edina opened this month, complete with a full workout gym, chipping green, putting green, and a club fitting facility.
"I got fitted last year and it worked out so well I decided to come back and get some irons and a putter today," customer Steven Hulme said.
Hulme drove down to Nebraska the week before and played a few rounds. Now, with The Masters on TV, he's dreaming of green grass in Minnesota.
