Girl Out Of Hospital After Being Accidently Shot By Brother
OAKDALE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 9-year-old girl has left the hospital after she was accidentally shot by her 5-year-old brother in North Oakdale early last Friday evening.
The girl was shot with a .22-caliber rifle that was apparently left out for repairs. Her parents and three other kids were home at the time.
The family lives on the 1800 block of Helena Road.
The girl was shot in the upper chest and taken to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition during the weekend. On Monday, authorities said she had been released from Gillette Children's Hospital.
Reports from the police department have been forwarded to the Washington County Attorney's Office for their review.
