Gathering Is Tuesday For Adrian Peterson's Son
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A fellowship gathering is scheduled in Sioux Falls in honor of the 2-year-old son of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
Friends and family plan to remember 2-year-old Tyrese Ruffin Tuesday evening at First Evangelical Free Church.
He died this month two days after being hospitalized with severe head injuries.
Investigators say 27-year-old Joseph Robert Patterson assaulted the boy while the two were alone in a Sioux Falls apartment. Patterson is the boyfriend of Tyrese's mother.
A Lincoln County grand jury has indicted Patterson on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges and he's expected to be arraigned later this week.
