Funeral For 1 Of 4 Killed In Pine Co. Crash
PINE CITY, Minn. (WCCO/AP) -- A funeral service was held for one of the four people killed in a Pine County crash.
A Mass for 20-year-old Catherine Rose Peterson was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willow River Friday. Her father and two of her brothers served as pallbearers.
Peterson died as the result of a crash between a pickup and semi near Askov Tuesday evening. Also killed were 58-year-old Arden Edwards of Bruno, 21-year-old Brett Larson of Sandstone and 17-year-old Felicity Jensen of Bruno. All were in the pickup truck.
Edwards' 21-year-old nephew Nikko Jensen survived the crash and is hospitalized in Duluth.
The Pine County Sheriff's Office says Jensen was the driver of the pickup truck. He is expected to survive his injuries.
Edwards was also the uncle of Felicity. He was the only person who was not ejected from the pickup truck.
Investigators said they have found no indication that alcohol or negligent driving played any part in the crash.
The State Patrol is working on investigating accident reconstruction. Results are still pending
