Fundraiser Set For Flood-Damaged Duluth Zoo
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- A fundraiser will be held this week in Duluth to benefit the flood-damaged Lake Superior Zoo.
Eleven animals in the barnyard exhibit died when floodwaters swamped the zoo in June. The zoo also sustained major structural damage and cleanup expenses.
On Wednesday, the zoo will host ZooAID at Clyde Iron Works Restaurant and Bar in Duluth.
Family Day will feature family-friendly activities and zoo animals in the Clyde Iron courtyard from 3-6 p.m. A special family dance will take place from 4-5 p.m. in the mezzanine area. There is no admission charge for those activities.
A concert starts at 7 p.m. at Clyde Iron's Event Center. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children and $40 for families at the gate.
