Friends, Family Of Mandy Matula Gather For Fundraiser
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Friends and teammates of murder victim Mandy Matula gathered Sunday in an effort to raise awareness for domestic violence.
Matula disappeared in May after leaving her house with her ex-boyfriend, David Roe, in Eden Prairie. Roe killed himself before police could question him.
Sunday, her former teammates played a charity game at Eden Prairie High School's athletics dome. Money raised from the event will go to Tubman and its domestic violence prevention programs.
All of the players wore the No 14, which was Matula's softball number at University of Minnesota-Duluth.
