Fridley Bank Robbed By Man Suspected In Other Robberies
FRIDLEY (WCCO) -- An armed man entered a Fridley bank and ordered everyone to lie down on the floor before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash Thursday night, according to the Minneapolis FBI.
Authorities say the man entered the TCF Bank, located on 5205 Central Avenue, at approximately 7 p.m. He was armed with a small semi-automatic handgun.
He was last seen heading toward the apartment building located behind the bank.
The robber is described as an Asian man with a light build and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He wore light colored pants or jeans, a black zippered and hooded jacket, black shirt, a black mask and black gloves.
The robber is believed to be the same robber involved in the recent TCF Bank robberies in both St. Anthony and St. Paul. He's also believed to be involved in a robbery in West St. Paul on Jan. 3.
