Fridley Man Sentenced For Groping Girl, 11, At Wal-Mart
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The 29-year-old Fridley man who pled guilty to groping an 11-year-old at a Wal-Mart, was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years of supervised probation.
Nathan William Charles Jones, 29, must also pay a $1,000 fine or complete 100 hours of community service in lieu of the fine. Jones was charged with criminal sexual conduct for touching a girl's buttocks while she was standing next to her mother and sister in the crowded store in December 2012.
The complaint states he leaned in, grabbed her, and said "excuse me" before walking away.
In addition to registering as a predatory offender, Jones' sentencing terms include no contact with the victim, no contact people under age 18, no alcohol or controlled substance abuse, and random urine testing.
