Fire Destroys Garage, Damages 2 Homes In Fridley
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fire crews are on the scene of a blaze in the north Twin Cities metro Monday that has damaged at least two cars and two homes.
Authorities responded Monday afternoon to a report of a garage fire on the 7300 block of Baker Avenue NE in Fridley. When firefighters arrived, there was a fire in the garage that had caused extensive damage to two vehicles, the adjoining home and a neighboring home.
A homeowner told authorities they heard an explosion from the garage, and a fire spread to a vehicle inside before the garage became engulfed. Fire officials at the scene said the blaze was large for a short time.
Authorities say there were no injuries associated with the fire. The cause is under investigation.
