Freight Train Heading To St. Paul Derails In Illinois
GURNEE, Ill. (AP) -- Railroad officials say no injuries were reported after a freight train carrying lumber and steel derailed in north suburban Chicago.
Union Pacific Railroad spokesman Mark Davis tells the Chicago Tribune that the 10-car train was heading from Chicago to St. Paul, Minn., when it derailed. The derailment happened Sunday morning in Gurnee.
Davis says the derailment's cause is under investigation.
