Frank V. Gives Hi-Tech Crutches To Tanzanian Girl
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's all because of the thoughtfulness of some 'CCO viewers.
Ono Mwenda is a young girl living in Tanzania. She only has one good leg and must use a wooden crutch to get around. It's heavy and uncomfortable, and rather primitive compared to our medical standards.
That's why Sharron and Jack Ellis of Elk River asked Frank Vascellaro about the hi-tech Mobi-leg crutches he used following hip surgery last March.
On Thursday, Frank gave them to Sharron and Jack.
The Ellis' pastor at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River will give Ono the crutches when he goes to Tanzania in January. The church sponsors more than 300 children in Africa.
