For Newest Timberwolves Players, Basketball Is A Family Affair
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Zach LaVine's parents, Paul and C.J., are celebrating right along with him.
"It's great. It feels good," Paul said.
It's been a long journey.
LaVine's mother remembers many nights watching her son practice at their home.
"When he was in the third grade, we would have to pull him from the backyard to eat. Only to get back out there again," C.J. said.
LaVine joined Glen Robinson III, whose father played father also played in the NBA primarily with the Bucks and was a legend at Purdue, on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
LaVine came from UCLA.
The Timberwolves have now had three players come from UCLA.
Robinson came from University of Michigan.
