Food Truck Fair To Feature Stanley's On Wheels
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- You see them parked in both Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul at lunchtime.
But this weekend you can find Food Trucks in Uptown. That's even including one with a location crisis. Julie Nelson, one of the owners of Stanley's on Wheels out of northeast Minneapolis, said tongue-in-cheek that her truck will be allowed in Uptown for Sunday's Food Truck Fair.
There will be 29 different trucks for you to try at the second annual Food Truck Fair this Sunday. The owners of Stanley's on Wheels also run the Stanley's Northeast Bar Room in northeast Minneapolis. The hope is new people from the suburbs who can't check out the food trucks during the week will find them near Lake Calhoun this Sunday.
"It's a whole new adventure for some of those people so if we can't come to you, they can come to us," Nelson said.
They do barbecue sandwiches, salmon wraps, tacos and burgers. You can wash that down with a homemade pear lemonade when you visit the trucks south of Lake Street on Hennepin Avenue to 31st Street and East to Holmes Avenue.
There will not be an entry fee to get in. The Food Truck Fair will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Sunday. On top of the 29 food trucks there will be local craft beers and live Minnesota bands.
