Foley Lifts Boil Order For Tap Water
FOLEY, Minn. (AP) -- Homes and businesses in Foley are back to using water right out of the tap after another round of testing found no E. coli in the city water supply.
The St. Cloud Times reports the boil order was issued on Friday and lifted at 1:10 p.m. Sunday. Testing detected E. coli in the water.
A news release from the city says retesting by the Minnesota Department of Health found no presence of the bacteria in water samples collected on Saturday.
The 2,600 residents of the central Minnesota town had been advised to use bottled water or boil all city water before consumption by people, pets or livestock.
