Fmr. US Secretary Of State Shares Insights Into World Affairs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Madeleine Albright, the first woman to serve as the United States Secretary of State, is coming to the Twin Cities.
Albright was nominated by U.S. President Bill Clinton on Dec. 5, 1996. Now, she's planning to co-teach a class at the University of Minnesota with former Congressman Vin Weber.
"By explaining issues from different view points of view, we can show that bi-partisanship is essential," Albright told WCCO Radio's News and Views host Roshini Rajkumar.

Albright will appear at a special program sponsored by the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School Oct. 16. She is coming as part of the Humphrey School's "Women in Public Life" series.
She plans to share her own experiences in public service and discuss the role of women in public policy, as attendees are encouraged to examine the issues of politics, leadership, and public affairs and the rights of women and girls across the globe.
