Fitness Tips For The Holidays
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A lot of people look forward to over-eating during the holidays, but then feel remorse afterwards.
Fitness expert Dana Ketter told WCCO's Roshini Rajkumar it's about picking your battles.
"What you put in your shopping carts ends up in your mouth," Ketter said.
She recommends selecting foods that are nutrient dense, like broccoli, which has much more protein per calorie than steak.
As far as water. Drink a lot of it. And exercise is critical.
Even if it's just for 30 minutes a day.
"If you have stairs in your house, do some leg lifts," she said.
One other tip, shoot for a pound of raw vegetables and a pound of cooked.
