First Snowfall Arrives In The Twin Cities
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It was inevitable, but somehow the first snowfall of the season is always a surprise.
Flakes were hitting the ground in central and western Minnesota early Saturday morning, and by noon the snow was in full force around the Twin Cities metro.
Reports indicate that about two to three inches of snow could fall around the metro by about 9 p.m. tonight. More is expected up by St. Cloud and the surrounding areas.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation urged motorists to drive with caution this weekend and allow for extra commute time given the conditions. As of about 1 p.m. there have been no reports of any crashes, but that's expected to change as the snow continues to fly.
The good news is that the snow won't stay for long. Temperatures are expected to climb to near 50 degrees in time for Thanksgiving. Stay with wcco.com for the latest weather details.
