MINNEAPOLIS — Storms may threaten many fireworks displays this Fourth of July, and a number of communities in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, along with Greater Minnesota, are pivoting in their plans to accommodate.

Minneapolis
Minneapolis will host the return of the "Red, White and Boom!" fireworks celebration. It will be taking place on the downtown Minneapolis Riverfront. Staff will make the call about the fireworks show by 6 p.m. Thursday.

While there will be no official fireworks from the city, there will be a 4th in the Park parade. If you're looking for fireworks, the St. Paul Saints will have them after three games leading up to Independence Day weekend.

Spend the entire day outside on July 4, including a parade on Washington Avenue at 10 a.m., a Picnic in the Park featuring live music, food vendors and a beer garden from noon to 4 p.m., Party in the Park begins at 6:00 p.m., and fireworks at 10 p.m.
