Firefighters: House Explodes In Maple Grove
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Firefighters put out a fire in a Maple Grove house Saturday morning after a gas leak caused it to explode.
Firefighters received a call about the exploded house, located at the corner of 95th and Saratoga Avenue, at around 7:15 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found an unoccupied house burning heavily with the walls blown out at the back, according to the Maple Grove fire chief.
Firefighters put out the fire, and no one was hurt.
Firefighters said gas caused the explosion, but they are not sure what triggered the gas to go off.
The owner of the house lives in a different city, and it is unknown as to whether the house was for sale or not.
Maple Grove and Osseo fire departments responded to the scene. Firefighters will continue to investigate the explosion.
