Fire Evacuates Senior Apartment Building
BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (WCCO) -- A fire broke out at a senior living apartment building in Brooklyn Center early Thursday.
The fire began in an oven in one of the units on the 10th floor of the complex, which is on the 6100 block of Summit Drive.
All residents made it out of the building safely. Extra crews had been called to the scene to help some of the elderly resident evacuate.
Damage was contained to just two units in the building.
The sprinkler system extinguished the fire, according to crews.
