Fire Damages South Minneapolis Home
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Investigators are working to figure out what started a fire at a home in south Minneapolis overnight.
The fire started at about 10 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 39th Street South and Cedar Avenue.
Two people were inside the home when the fire began. They escaped with a cat in tow.
The fire began on the second floor of the home and spread to the attic. When crews arrived, they said there was a lot of smoke and flames coming from the top floor windows.
The home sustained heavy damage, and the two who escaped will have to stay somewhere else.
