Fire Crews Deliver Free Pizza During Prevention Week
FRIDLEY, Minn. (WCCO) – It's Fire Prevention Week around Minnesota, and that means it's a good time to go around your house to make sure your smoke alarms are working and up to code.
One local fire department came up with a good incentive as a reminder. The Fridley Fire Department is going around to area homes this week and delivering pizza to random residents who ordered from Domino's.
If those residents had working smoke alarms, the fire department gave them free pizza. If their smoke alarms weren't up to date and working properly, the pizza wasn't free.
The Fridley Fire Department will continue the push on Tuesday.
