Financial Company Calling On Industry To Hire Disabled Vets
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- From the battle field to Wall Street.
Minnesota disabled Veterans looking for work might turn to Drexel Hamilton. The financial services company is based in Philadelphia, but was in the Twin Cities talking to an industry group.
Cal Quinn, the company's managing director, says Drexel Hamilton offers training to veterans.

"And they are more technically proficient and academically capable than any military, than this country has ever known," Quinn said.
Drexel Hamilton's goals are simple: to give back, to preserve military strength and build revenue.
"A disabled veteran is capable of more than just competence but excellence," Quinn said.
He says after World War II, the country took care of its veterans and there was prosperity. That is not the case now.
"They are being held at bay, from the American dream, for which they went abroad and sacrificed so dearly and left so much of themselves on the battlefield," Quinn said.
Quinn says the unemployment rate for disabled veterans is about 41 percent.
So with Veterans Day just around the corner, he was in Minneapolis to try to help end what he called an epidemic.
