Fight Breaks Out At Wis. Store Over New Air Jordans
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Madison police say a scuffle broke out in a crowd waiting for a new sneaker outside a sports store at West Towne Mall.
An estimated 60 people were outside Finish Line footwear Saturday at 9:50 a.m. waiting for the shop to open for the release of a new line of Air Jordan sneakers.
Mall security told police the crowd gathered outside the storefront was pushing and shoving, raising safety concerns.
The store had only 10 pairs of the new shoe, which police said "which did not sit well with the crowd."
