Few Flights Still Delayed At MSP After Ill. Air Traffic Facility Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The effects of an airport fire in Chicago Friday continued to be felt by passengers Saturday.
More than 700 flights have been canceled at Chicago's two international airports.
Authorities say a contract employee started a fire in the basement of the Aurora control center.
The person then attempted to commit suicide.
Lines have been long at O'Hare all day where stranded travelers had to sleep on cots last night provided by the airport.
WCCO checked in with the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport about delays.
Four flights to Chicago Midway are cancelled, and only one flight at Chicago O'Hare has been delayed.
All other flights are on time.
