Fencing To Come Down Around Minnesota State Capitol
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Crews are scheduled to begin taking down the fencing around the Minnesota State Capitol.
The original fence around the St. Paul landmark was installed last May following the civil unrest after the murder of George Floyd. A stronger fence for put up for the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer found guilty in Floyd's death.
The fencing was slated to stay up as a precaution through the 2021 legislative session, which has since ended.
