FEMA To Assess Minnesota's Storm Damage
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota may get federal help to clean up from last month's severe storms and flash floods.
A powerful wind and rain storm downed hundreds of trees and knocked out power to more than a half-million homes and businesses last month.
The state asked FEMA on Tuesday to take a look at the damage, and federal workers will be here next week to assess the mess.
The state would need to have more than $7.26 million in damage to possibly qualify for help.
Minnesota's emergency management division thinks we may have topped that.
