FedEx Truck Driver Dies In Northern Minn. Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A FedEx truck driver died Friday morning in northwestern Minnesota, authorities say, after the truck left the road and struck an approach.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened just before 11:40 a.m. on Highway 81, a mile north of Highway 38. That's about 10 miles south of Battle Lake, Minn.
The victim, who was 37 and from Fargo, North Dakota, had been driving south before hitting the approach. The individual was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck. Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The victim's name will be released Saturday morning.
Battle Lake Police, Fire and Rescue assisted the county sheriff's office at the scene.
Battle Lake is about 180 miles northwest of the Twin Cities.
