FBI Investigating Shakopee Bank Robbery
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a bank was apparently robbed at gunpoint in Shakopee on Tuesday morning, according to Minneapolis FBI officials.
Authorities said the incident happened at about 11:25 a.m. Tuesday at the Paragon Bank on the 100 block of First Avenue East in Shakopee.
FBI officials said the bank was robbed by a lone white male. He entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He then pointed a gun at a teller and demanded cash. The man received an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank on foot.
The suspect is described as a white man about 19 to 29 years old about 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing with a black neck warmer pulled up over his face at the time of the robbery. He was also wearing a black stocking cap during the incident.
